New Google Changes – It’s Good News

1.) Google is Now Indexing Audio With Search

Google announced they are starting to index audio files. Meaning they will index the audio file and then allow you to search text in the audio message. They will then allow you to click a play button which will take directly to that piece in the audio file.

Pretty cool.

2.) Google Updates Their Adwords Algorythm

– Quality Score is now more accurate — because it is calculated at the time of each search query

– Keywords are no longer marked ‘inactive for search’ — all keywords are active because they are evaluated for every relevant query

– First page bid estimates’ replace ‘minimum bids’ in your account* — providing a more actionable and useful metric to advertisers

What this means is this… your quality score is now determined on the fly so you it is much accurate. All keywords are now activated… you’ll actually see more clicks and more traffic. YEAH.

Google will now tell you the first page estimates which tell you what to bid to be on the first page.

Also, Google announced they are deemphasizing the importance of the landing page.
